The Foundation of Guelph General Hospital launches Spring Campaign to support urgent equipment needs

The Foundation of Guelph General Hospital is asking for members of the Guelph-Wellington community to support its annual Spring Fundraising Campaign. Donations to the campaign will fund urgently needed patient care equipment throughout Guelph General Hospital.

As part of the campaign, community members may receive a letter highlighting the importance of donor support in maintaining and enhancing patient care through the support of essential hospital equipment.

The hospital is a vital resource for every community member. Ongoing support, especially monthly giving or annual donations, is critical to ensuring that Guelph General Hospital is able to replace, upgrade and add new equipment to keep pace with our growing community’s healthcare needs.

Julie Byczynski, CEO of The Foundation of Guelph General Hospital, remarks, “Donor generosity continues to be the driving force behind transforming healthcare at GGH. Community contributions fill the toolboxes of the GGH healthcare team, empowering them to deliver exceptional care to everyone who comes through the doors.”

Donations to the Spring Campaign will support some of GGH’s highest priority equipment needs, such as vital signs monitors, which allow the healthcare team to track important measurements of health; operating room lights, which ensure surgeons have the best possible visibility; and floor lifts, which enable nurses to safely move and reposition patients.

The Foundation will be sending letters to those who have donated before, asking for their continued support. They are also welcoming everyone in the community who wishes to support patient care at GGH to make a donation online at gghfoundation.ca; Donations can also be made by phone to 519-837-6422; or by cheque payable to The Foundation of GGH mailed to 115 Delhi Street, Guelph, ON N1E 4J4.
