Congratulations to our 50/50 Hospital Lottery for Guelph General Hospital grand prize winner, Ken Poon! Ken won $38,640 in August’s lottery.

Ken Poon is now $38,640 richer! On August 31^st, Ken received a call from the Foundation to confirm his ticket number, N-2722503. At first, Ken was not sure if what he was hearing was real. He told us he did a double-take. “I had to double-check where the decimal was”, he said.

This was Ken’s first time participating in Guelph General Hospital’s 50/50 Lottery. When Ken purchased 200 tickets for $40, he did not think he would win. He expressed the reason he bought tickets was to support the hospital. He explained, “We are going to need our hospital at some point in our lives.”

Ken and his partner moved to Guelph almost a year ago. They were very excited to win this month’s lottery because it means they can now buy their dream car— an electric car. Ken has desired an electric car for over five years now.  “I still can’t believe this is real. Now we can fulfil a dream of ours,” he exuded.

September’s 50/50 tickets are on sale now! Guess what? This month brings extra winnings! September’s guaranteed grand prize is $25,000.

PLUS two early bird draws for $1,000 each on Friday, September 17^th and Friday, September 24^th.

PLUS a bonus draw for $2,500 on Wednesday, September 29^th.  The next lucky grand prize winner will be drawn on Thursday, September 30th at 11:00 a.m.!
