Dave & Shelly Steele win $31,200 in November’s 50/50 Hospital Lottery
The winning number, E-2102827, was drawn on Monday, November 30th at 11AM.
The Steeles have been purchasing 50/50 Hospital Lottery tickets since ticket sales started in July.
Dave contacted The Foundation of Guelph General Hospital as he read the winning ticket email and had to confirm that he was actually reading his ticket number. He couldn’t believe his number had been drawn electronically.
“Um, I have this number in my list of tickets! Am I imagining things or did I win?” said Dave in his initial email to us. He said his wife was speechless when she found out. He texted her that they had won and she replied with “What?!? Omg! For real? Amazing!!!!!”
Dave is a long-time supporter of The Foundation of Guelph General Hospital, but he feels that buying tickets for the 50/50 Hospital Lottery is another way he can help our local Hospital.
When asked what their plans are for the money, Dave told us he “plans to put some money on the mortgage and set aside some for a future post-pandemic family trip.” The family trip was definitely the more popular option.

High quality LED lights provide exceptional illumination, helping our surgeons better assess and interpret the appearance of tissues and vessels in the body.
50/50 Hospital Lottery proceeds from July and August helped fund 33 new endoscopes.
