FAQ
What is the door-to-door campaign for?
This campaign is an initiative by the Foundation of Guelph General Hospital, inviting members of our community to become monthly donors. By going door-to-door in the Guelph-Wellington region, we hope to connect directly with residents and grow long-term support for the hospital.
Who is running this campaign?
The Foundation of Guelph General Hospital is leading the campaign. Our canvassers are trained representatives working on our behalf and can be identified by official Foundation-branded vest, ID badges and information cards detailing how your donation supports Guelph General Hospital.
Why is the Foundation asking for monthly donations specifically?
Monthly donations are one of the most impactful ways to give. They provide predictable funding that allows the Foundation to better plan for urgent equipment needs, long-term improvements, and ongoing patient care enhancements.
How does monthly giving support Guelph General Hospital?
All patient care equipment is funded by donations. Your monthly giving helps ensure the healthcare teams have what they need to provide the best possible care for every patient. For a limited time, your monthly gifts will help build and equip the new medical centre on Speedvale, housing diagnostic imaging and a second MRI machine to care for our growing community. Even better – each donation will be matched dollar-for-dollar by FDC Foundation, doubling your impact.
How much are canvassers asking for?
Canvassers will invite you to consider a monthly gift that feels right for you – often starting around $15.
Can I make a one-time donation instead?
Absolutely! While the focus of their effort is to build monthly support, we deeply appreciate all donations. You can donate online at gghfoundation.ca, by mail or by calling our office at 519-837-6422 Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
What payment methods are accepted for monthly donations?
