Karlie Ploj

Karlie Ploj is the Coordinator, Community Events at The Foundation of Guelph General Hospital. She brings a background in client relations, communications, and event planning, and she is extremely passionate about building relationships and planning exceptional events that raise essential funds for the incredible work that takes place inside the hospital. She has planned multiple events over the course of her career and, most notably, has led and executed a gala for a local non-profit to raise funds for mental health care in the community. Her passion for community impact drives her work in fundraising and event initiatives that create meaningful change.

In her role at the Foundation, she will be focusing on assisting with the Foundation’s signature events, including Black Tie Bingo and Tour de Guelph, supporting community-led and third-party fundraising initiatives, and overseeing the lottery pots, including Payday Payout and Split the Pot.

Outside of the office, Karlie loves to be creative and enjoys making curated, handmade cards for special moments in her friends’ and family’s lives. She also enjoys sports, reading, and cooking for her loved ones!

“This hospital saved my family members’ lives, and I am honoured to be part of a team that helps make a difference in the lives of others across the Guelph-Wellington community.”
