Naznin Rana

Naznin Rana brings a unique blend of global healthcare experience and a deep passion for community support to her role as Donor Stewardship Coordinator at the Guelph General Hospital Foundation. Her commitment to healthcare philanthropy began overseas, where she worked in hospital administration and witnessed firsthand the life-changing impact of a single donor-funded dialysis machine. Seeing how one gift drastically improved access to care for patients who previously had to travel long distances left a lasting impression and shaped her desire to pursue meaningful work in the healthcare sector.

After coming to Canada as an international student, Naznin completed her studies in Healthcare Administration and Service Management. During this time, she worked as a Wellness Leader supporting international students as they navigated Canada’s complex healthcare system. She helped them understand and access their health plans, building strong skills in communication, guidance, and patient-centered support, strengths she now brings to her stewardship role.

When Naznin discovered the opportunity at the Guelph General Hospital Foundation, she was instantly inspired by the idea that 100% of patient-care equipment is funded through donations. Her own experience seeing the impact of one donated machine made the Foundation’s mission feel deeply personal and incredibly meaningful.

Now, with more than a year and a half at the Foundation, Naznin feels grateful to call Guelph her new home. She is continually inspired by the warmth and generosity of the community and is proud to contribute to strengthening exceptional patient care at Guelph General Hospital.

“One donated machine changed my view of generosity. Here, where donors fund 100% of patient-care equipment, I’m grateful for a community truly transforming healthcare through giving.”
