When Dennis Huss was wheeled into Guelph General Hospital’s state-of-the-art Operating Room in February 2018, the trim, tanned tennis player appeared to be in the peak of health. But the 6.5 cm aneurysm in his iliac artery told a different story. Without surgery, it could burst at any point, leaving him with a 50:50 chance of survival.
Thanks to contributions from donors like you, GGH opened a new hybrid operating suite in 2011 with sophisticated medical and diagnostic technology. But top-notch surgical facilities are only one half of the equation.
Your help is needed today to purchase urgently needed equipment like, vital signs monitors for every bedside, a central cardiac monitoring system, ceiling lifts and specialized patient beds – patient care equipment that will help patients like Dennis make fast and full recoveries.
